While she enjoyed engineering, she chose to pursue dentistry as a career because of her desire to apply science and art to improve the quality of life of patients. Dr. Ankrom received her dental degree from the UCLA School of Dentistry. Upon graduation, she was one of 10 students in her class selected to be a member of the UCLA Chapter of the National Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. She chose to further her education after dental school by completing a General Practice Residency at the West Los Angeles VA Hospital. During her residency, she gained experience and knowledge to treat complex cases involving extensive restorative and surgical needs.
Now, Dr. Ankrom is returning home to Sonora, CA to provide dental care to the community that raised her. Outside of the office, you can find her running, cycling, baking, playing board games, walking her dogs and completing puzzles with family.
